Are you aware that there are an estimated 550,000 individuals experiencing homelessness in the U.S. on a given night? Homelessness is a rising concern for many and can be caused by several factors, including unemployment, lack of access to affordable housing, and more. Although many non-profit organizations offer housing programs, many of these individuals experience daily challenges that include:
- Unemployment
Many individuals who experience homelessness may or may not have a source of income. Some individuals who have work may have income that infrequently comes, which can add to the stress of homelessness. This living situation can also make it difficult to save money to find an apartment or home to rent. - Basic Needs
Individuals and families that experience homelessness do not have a place to call home. As a result, this can make it more challenging to tend to their basic needs. This includes preparing meals, bathing, finding a place to rest, and more. The inability to look after their basic needs consistently can also make it more challenging to get back on their feet. - Access to Healthcare
Since most folks that experience homelessness do not have access to regular income or may have an inadequate salary, healthcare is more difficult to obtain. This can lead to further health complications that affect their health and well-being.
Tri-State Assistance Corp. is one of the leading charity organizations in Nevada. We organize several projects and programs to help individuals and families in the community. These include assistance with housing to help the underprivileged in the community find a place to call home.
