If we were to base our ability to help our underprivileged brothers and sisters on its portrayal in the media, then it would seem that only the rich can help lift their lives.
The truth is, anyone can help make a difference in someone else’s life, no matter how little he or she has.
That is why, as one of the charity organizations in Nevada, we at Tri-State Assistance Corp. are dedicated to uplifting the underprivileged lives in the community, we are listing down the many ways you can lend a helping hand that does not involve shelling any money.
- Volunteer
Volunteering is the most hands-on and direct way you can help. Per our volunteers in Kentucky, it is also one of the most productive ways that they have made use of their extra time. - Donate extra clothes
Re-home your preloved clothes instead of throwing them away. We accept out-of-season clothing, those that no longer fit you, and any other extra clothes that you no longer find a use for. - Share your talents and expertise
Are you social media-savvy? Post about your chosen charity to promote them and encourage more people to find us and help. Have top-notch negotiating skills? Help us win more sponsors and donors! - Donate your extra food
Do you have an unplanned trip coming up and you don’t have a choice but to leave your food? Instead of composting your extra food, consider donating them to non-profit organizations for one less hungry brother or sister.
